Optical Measurement Method utilizing Phase Conjugation

  1. Application for measurements
    Compensation techniques for air turbulence and effect of AO modulator have been developed. To realize these technique, shortening of response time, new optical design and some other techniques have been also developed.

  2. Contribution in its principle
    In generation of phase conjugation (PC) wave, formation of hexagonal pattern was found, as shown in Fig.1. Since the same pattern was founded in PC wave generated not only by non linear crystal, but also by gases and by liquid crystals, this pattern generation is thought to be an effect directly connected to the generation mechanism of PC wave. A theoretical model has been developed and compared with the experimental results.
